Sono il Dr Alessio Bernardini ed oggi commenterò riassumendo questo studio che affronta una problematica emergente nella gestione delle malattie infettive, in
particolare la crisi dovuta alla resistenza agli antibiotici e alla comparsa di "superbatteri" e virus letali come l'Ebola. Si evidenzia come migliaia di persone stiano morendo a causa di malattie che un tempo erano facilmente trattabili. In questo contesto, l'ozonoterapia viene proposta come una soluzione sicura, economica ed efficace, poiché non è un antibiotico e i microbi non sviluppano resistenza ad essa.
L'ozonoterapia
è un trattamento studiato a lungo e si è dimostrato efficace contro diverse infezioni batteriche e virali, inclusa l'Ebola. Essa agisce come un potente germicida e migliora vari
parametri fisiologici essenziali per la difesa contro le infezioni. Nonostante questi benefici, l'ozonoterapia non viene considerata nella medicina convenzionale principalmente perché non può essere brevettata e quindi non rappresenta un'opzione commercialmente redditizia per l'industria farmaceutica.
La storia dell'ozono

risale a oltre un secolo fa, quando venne scoperto e utilizzato per la purificazione dell'acqua e il trattamento di malattie. Tuttavia, con l'avvento degli antibiotici, queste terapie ossidative, tra cui anche la terapia con raggi ultravioletti e il perossido di idrogeno intravenoso, sono state in gran parte dimenticate.
Uno dei punti chiave dello studio è che i batteri non sono riusciti a sviluppare resistenza ai germicidi naturali come l'ozono e la luce ultravioletta. Questo perché il sistema immunitario umano risponde alle infezioni generando forti ossidanti, come il perossido di idrogeno e i radicali liberi dell’Ossigeno, che distruggono gli agenti patogeni.
Nell'ambito dell'attuale crisi sanitaria globale, con la diffusione dell'Ebola e altre infezioni difficili da trattare, lo studio suggerisce che l'ozonoterapia potrebbe fornire una risposta efficace. In Sierra Leone, durante l'epidemia di Ebola, l'ozonoterapia ha portato a recuperi completi in tutti i pazienti trattati, dimostrando il suo potenziale in situazioni critiche. Tuttavia, l'ozonoterapia è ostacolata da varie barriere, come la mancanza di studi finanziati dall'industria e le restrizioni imposte dalle autorità sanitarie. Nonostante queste difficoltà, i risultati clinici e l'assenza di effetti collaterali significativi la rendono una terapia da considerare seriamente nella gestione delle malattie infettive. Lo studio conclude affermando che la medicina moderna dovrebbe tornare a considerare terapie ossidative come l'ozonoterapia, specialmente nei paesi in via di sviluppo o in situazioni di emergenza, dove gli antibiotici falliscono.
In sintesi, questo studio sottolinea l'importanza di esplorare alternative agli antibiotici, come l'ozonoterapia, per far fronte alla crescente crisi sanitaria causata dalla resistenza agli antibiotici e dalle infezioni virali letali.
